Joyful Abilities provides a wide range of paediatric occupational therapy services designed to support children's physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being. Our experienced therapists utilize creative and engaging methods to address developmental challenges, enhance motor skills, foster social-emotional growth, and equip children with essential life skills. Supporting children aged 2-12 in the Hobart area. We can work with private, plan-managed and self-managed participants.

Charlotte Burgess

Occupational Therapist | Director

Charlotte graduated with her Master of Occupational Therapy in 2022. Prior to this she worked in a range of roles, including as a support worker and teacher assistant. Charlotte enjoys her role as an OT and seeks a wide range of professional development in order to provide evidence-based and effective therapy. Charlotte is particularly interested in aquatic therapy, feeding therapy, toileting training and supporting play skills. In her spare time Charlotte enjoys reading and spending time with her family. Charlotte has completed the following further training: SenseUp Approach course - currently completing AUSTswim teacher of swimming and water safety - 2025 Certified facilitator in lego-based therapy - 2025 Responsive feeding therapy - 2024 Autism Swim year 1 certificate - 2024 Sleeping with Disability webinars - 2023 Learn to play Therapy 1 - 2023 Talking Toileting webinar - 2022

Sisam Koirala

Allied Health Assistant | Level 2

Sisam began working part-time at Joyful Abilities after completing her Certificate 3 in Allied Health Assistance. Sisam mainly works in the early intervention space, supporting families and their kiddos to work towards their Occupational Therapy goals. Sisam is particularly skilled in supporting children to develop play skills and emotional regulation skills.
